Galina Munroe

Galina Munroe is a British-French Central Saint Martins graduate working out of Albi in the south west of France. Her intimate alternative universe uses repetitive shapes and marks that continuously shift between canvas and collage, playing with abstraction and a laisser-faire kind of representation. There are hints of a distanced reality- Scenes appear, flowers have been arranged, time passes and things wilt. The interplay of deceptively simplified shapes along with aloof and varied titles lure us into an ambiguous place of personified narratives. Galina Munroe works with galleries such as: Part2 Gallery (L.A), Piermarq (Sydney), Delphian Gallery (London) & Union Gallery (London)
