Arsène Welkin is a self-taught artist, born in Paris in 1993.
Arsène was a musician for 10 years before devoting himself to painting. He works in his studio and in artistic residencies. His modernist and fawn influences take an undeniable place in his productions on acrylic on canvas and oil pastel on paper. The recurring motifs of his figurative painting, such as portraits of men or women immersed in a contemplative state as well as the still lifes that he like to sketch outdoors, are inspired by his environment.
